Star Ranch Angus is a well-loved but regional beef brand that was greeted with a lukewarm reception when it originally entered the social space. What made the challenge even more difficult was its availability in only certain areas of the country because it is not a national brand. The task given was to increase engagement with Star Ranch Angus via the brands Facebook page. If successful, other brand social channels would follow.

THE SOLUTION.
Our first tactic was to rethink the brand’s approach to social strategy. Instead of “doing” social, we positioned the brand to “become” social. By retooling the posting schedule, employing geographic interest-based targeting, adding a lively voice to the brand, and implementing a monthly giveaway, followers were encouraged to share their interests, issues, and thoughts with Star Ranch Angus.
THE RESULTS.
A 62% increase in engagement and an 1100% page growth rate. Star Ranch Angus social evolved into an active and positively engaged social hub for the brand and its followers.
